Bakery Is Temporarily Closed
To all my valued customers:
Firstly I want to thank you for all your love and support while the bakery has been temporarily closed this year. This time has been valuable for me to spend with family, work on my physical and mental health, and learn more about the business side of my craft. I had hoped to be up and running for the 2022 holidays, however, I now plan on opening up in early 2023. So there will not be any pre-order sales for any of the holidays for the rest of 2022. Many of you will be excited to hear that I will be returning to custom sugar cookies in early 2023 and will hopefully be adding on more custom items to the menu as well. Just as a heads-up, a regular bakery menu will most likely not be returning in 2023. I wish I could please everyone, but I need to make changes to better suit my business and what the majority of my clients ask for. I truly love sharing my baking with everyone and I hope to see you again soon.
If you are not yet a newsletter subscriber, I encourage you to sign up at the bottom of this page. This is likely where I will announce the reopening first. I try very hard to let my email subscribers know what is happening before announcing it on social media. I will also send out an announcement about when I will start taking custom orders again as I get closer to opening back up. Again, thank you for your patience and continued support.
Thank you,
Kimberly
Decorated Cookie Information
Each decorated cookie that One Baker’s Journey makes is handmade. Every batch of dough is made to order, rolled, cut and baked to perfection. The icing is made and colored per order, then each cookie is decorated by hand in a process that can take days to complete to create a unique piece of art. The best part is, that this is art you can eat. One Bakers Journey has spent years perfecting recipes for these cookies. The flavor is just as special as the art on top. While some choose not to eat them, the goal is to enjoy it with your eyes, then your taste buds.
For Best Flavor:
The cookie should be kept in an airtight package. Most orders will be delivered with each cookie individually sealed in a plastic sleeve. If yours is not, a zip-top bag with as much air removed as possible will also work. Sealed in a package, cookies can last up to 3 weeks at room temperatures. Do not refrigerate cookies, as this will dry them out.
For Longer Storage:
Cookies can be frozen for up to 2 months. For best results, keep them individually sealed and place them in an airtight Tupperware type container. When thawing, take the container out of the freezer and place it on the counter to thaw completely, about 8 hours. During this time, do not open the container. Opening the container before its completely thawed can cause condensation to develop and ruin the icing.
